I take this opportunity to thank you for changing my outlook about exercise. I am 49 years of age and over the years my husband and I have tried all the possible gym equipment and spent a fortune on gym packages but it never lasted. We hated the exercise and gave up before we saw any results. Pilates has really kept us going, it's over two years at your studio and it has really energized us, you have kept us motivated and we feel different and certainly look different since we joined your fabulous pilates family.

If you are out there not doing any exercise, it's important that you do. If you are out there and struggling to find the perfect exercise regime come and join Gail's pilates class, she is an amazing teacher full of energy and very passionate about pilates. She is highly motivated and the classes are never boring. You will certainly meet the nicest group of people, we are a family now. There are sessions for couples, groups and private sessions. Men and women, old and young are welcome. You will love it, you will feel the difference immediately. I decided to write this message today because I have never felt better and I want you to feel the same way too. We are in this thing together to encourage each other to a brighter, happier, healthier life style. Being healthy is important and exercise coupled with the right food will help you enjoy your life.

As someone who does a lot [of] Boxing I can tell you Pilates is extremly beneficial for you in a number of ways but perhaps one of the most important ways is leg strength. When you take a heavy punch to the face the first thing that goes is your legs. Pilates is particulary great at strengthening the inner thighs and is of course great for all round leg strength. Basically that means you can take more of a beating in the ring! However even in this day and age many Amateur Boxing Gyms still neglect the inner thighs and many still just do the basics of Boxing, skipping, running and stuff like Press-ups, sit-ups star jumps etc. Most avoid weights in the mistaken belief that all Weight-training makes you bulky and slow. Pilates could be very helpfull for many of them.

I started Pilates because I had just recovered from a back pain. In fact, my chiro recommended that I do either Pilates or Yoga to prevent me getting back pain again. I chose Pilates. I also had not exercised for many years. I was very weak for a man and very overweight. I remember trying to help carry a bed and I couldn't. I have done Pilates for two years now. I did 3 sessions per week for most weeks. I now no longer have the back pain but I am now much stronger and happier than I have been in years. The stress relief and general well being-ness I get from the Pilates sessions has helped me tremendously. I have lost 27 KGs and get many compliments from people who have seen me before and after. One person told me that I looked 10 years younger.

Jonathan and I were never exercise people but decided to start attending Pilates classes 2 to 3 times a week. I was particularly struggling with lower back and shoulder pains related to stress and long hours and as a result would be visiting my physio a couple of times a month. We've been attending classes for a few years now and I'm particularly pleased because now I visit the physio only a few times a year! We both look forward to the workouts and Gail and her team are superb in their professionalism and personalised attention.
